When Sara Happ isn’t busy dreaming up her newest lip saving products, she is meeting and spending time with other female founders, and of course, indulging in their beauty products too!
In 2011, Stephi Maron embarked on a path that would change her life forever. Frustrated with the lack of places to recommend family and friends to get their makeup done, she decided to create her own. Almost eight years and six locations later, Stephi Maron has created a flourishing beauty empire. A place for customers to feel their best and artists to work their magic, Blushington is where feeling pretty is priceless. We caught up with Stephi to chat for our Ask Who She Is campaign.

So excited to add Illuminate Cosmetics to our shelves. Check out this tutorial featuring Founder of Illuminate Cosmetics Ashley Tisdale and Founder of Blushington Stephi Maron!
This week’s brand spotlight is Girlactik! Galit Strugano was working as a makeup artist in Hollywood when the glitter craze hit the beauty industry. Frustrated by the mess glitter makeup can often cause, Galit was determined to find a solution. With a budget of about $1800, Galit found a chemist to work with. She developed her unique sparkle formula and thus Girlactik was born! Under her expertise, Girlactik has become a truly affordable luxury cosmetic brand.
The first product we would like to spotlight is a tried and true favorite for Team Blushington, the Matte Bronzer! Available in two shades, Cabo and Casablanca, these bronzers will give you the perfect sun-kissed tan in just a few swipes. Not too warm and not too grey, you can create the perfect bronze look for any season.
Next up is the Metallic Shadow Stick: Dazzle! Use this smooth, velvety formula to add the perfect hint sparkle to any look. Swipe all over the lid or apply in the inner corner, layer for even for even more intensity. It comes with a built-in sharpener, just pull out the bottom and turn the dial to sharpen. This item was used in our signature Sweet Pea look!
The Pearl Base is a fantastic multi-use product! Use as an eyeshadow primer under shadow or layer on top. Can also be used a base to layer powder highlight over for a more intense pop!
There you have it lovelies. Happy shopping!
This week we’re highlighting the masters of highlight, Becca. Founded 16 years ago by makeup artist Rebecca Morrice Williams, the brand skyrocketed to success when Estee Lauder bought the company. From the beginning, the company has spread a very important message about inclusivity. They carry a full range of shades in most of their products. Williams was once quoted as saying: “[Retailers] must carry the full range. It’s a condition. Otherwise, if they don’t or are unwilling to, they can just go away. It has been very difficult. We say that unless you take all the colors, we don’t want to go with you.” Blushington is incredibly proud to be one of the brands that carry Becca, and their message of inclusivity is one we take to heart.
The Aqualuminous foundation is a tried and true favorite. This light-weight liquid foundation comes in 9 flexible shades suitable for any complexion. Blurring and smoothing any imperfections on the skin, it will provide light to medium coverage. It gives a dewy finish, so for oily skin, we recommend using a mattifying primer as well as setting your T-zone with setting powder, for a long-lasting application.
The Chrissy Teigen Palette is your new must-have. The collaboration features two highlighters, a bronzer, and blush. The shades are incredibly flattering on any skin type or complexion and the possibilities for its use are endless. We love using palette on the face, eyes, and even the body!
The Beach Tints are another incredible multi-use product. The oil-free, streak-free stain is applicable on both cheeks and lips. Enriched with Vitamin E to soothe and repair skin.
There you have it, lovelies! Don’t forget to shop online or in-store at Blushington near you!
Every week, we are going to spotlight a different brand, product, or service that we think you guys should try out. This week, we’re highlighting Beauty Rx! Founded by Dr. Neal Schultz, a Park Avenue dermatologist with over 35 years of experience, this skincare line is all about youthful, glowing skin. What’s the secret? Glycolic Acid, a natural derivative of sugar cane. This ingredient is the main force behind his incredible two-minute peel. No downtime, no redness with all the benefits of a chemical peel. It exfoliates the skin, removing dirt and dead skin to reveal a brighter, smoother, firmer complexion. Appropriate for all skin types, this peel is an absolute game changer. So go on and book your appointment at a Blushington near you!
The first product we’d like to feature is the Balancing Glycolic Cleanser. A daily cleanser that contains 3% glycolic acid, it will remove makeup, dirt, and dissolve oils on the skin. We recommend this cleanser for normal, oily and combination skin types. If you have dry skin you can use the Gentle Cream Cleanser. A creamy, moisturizing cleanser that contains no harsh and over-drying detergents that will strip your skin of natural oils. It also contains chamomile to help soothe skin.
Next, we recommend the Nourishing Moisture Cream. The daytime counterpart to the Soothing Moisture Cream, it’s oil free, paraben free, fragrance-free. Packed with vitamins C and E as well Green Tea, this moisturizer is a must-have.
Finally, we cannot recommend Dr. Schultz’s at home Progressive Peel enough! The perfect companion to your monthly peel, this two-step at home kit helps maintain the effects in between treatments. It gradually increases in strength over a 4-week period to keep your skin glowing, smooth and firm.
So there you go lovelies! We hope you love these products as much as we do.
